HOW MANY DO I NEED

Yabbies need SURFACE AREA not volume.

MINIMUM STOCKING NUMBERS

For dams 300 - 700m2 = 100 yabbies

For dams 700 - 1500m2 = 150-200 Yabbies

For dams 1500m2 - 3000m2 = 400 yabbies,

For dams greater than 1000m2 you can add up to 1 yabby per 3m2

WHAT DO THEY EAT?

Yabbies are deetritus feeders able to metabolise meat and vegetable protein such as hay, grass, bugs, leaf matter, algae & vegetable scraps
